Within the Framework of Harmonization

Regular plenary meeting of the legislative body of the republic is scheduled for April 1. Members of the Presidium clarified the agenda of the upcoming meeting, and decided on a number of issues that the deputies will discuss in April. Most of the initiatives developed within the framework of harmonization of legislation of PMR with the Russian legislation.

So, the agenda of one of the April plenary sessions will include the law-in-draft "On Amendments to the Law of PMR "On Militia", developed by a group of deputies. The purpose of the initiative – is the improving of standards relating to the powers of police officers in the sphere of road safety. In particular, legislators propose to limit the possibility of officers to stop vehicles without cause. According to Alexander Korshunov, one of the authors of the initiative, this right is available for law enforcement representatives only in case of violation of traffic rules by drivers.

The deputies will consider amendments to the Law "On the Status of Servicemen" governing the implementation of military law to provide educational vacations.

Amendments to the law "On additional guarantees for the social protection of orphans and children left without parental care" will also be the subject of discussion. The law-in-draft was developed by Vladimir Bodnar to support these individuals in the realization of the right to receive higher professional education at the expense of the state budget.

Deputies will discuss a law-in-draft aimed at improving the legislation in the tax area. It is represented by Deputy Oleg Vasilaty. The author of the legislative initiative proposes to establish a mechanism for the provision of payment and collection orders that exclude "double write-off" of tax payments. Relevant committee recommended the adoption of the document in the first reading.

The agenda of the tomorrow plenary session includes approximately 40 questions. Among them there are draft laws "On Amending the Law of PMR "On providing state guarantees calculations with citizens who have the right to land (share)","On the collection unit" submitted for consideration in the regime of legislative necessity. Deputies will consider a draft resolution of the Supreme Council "On amnesty in connection with the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 and the twenty-fifth anniversary of the founding of the PMR" and the law-in-draft "On perpetuation of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945". In addition, the Prosecutor's Office report on the results of operations during 2014 will be presented to the deputies.
