As part of the harmonization of legislation

The parliamentarian Yuri Kucherenko proposed to amend the law "On Banks and Banking Activities in Pridnestrovie". The federal law of the Russian Federation regulating this sphere is based on its legislative initiative.

The developer proposes to remove legal uncertainty in the regulation of relations related to the ban on the implementation by banks of operations for the production and trade of property. In accordance with the norm of the current law "On Banks and Banking Activities in Pridnestrovie", banks are prohibited from engaging in production, trade and insurance activities. At the same time there is an ambiguous understanding of the content of this prohibition in law enforcement practice. According to the deputy, it is necessary to list the list of transactions, the implementation of which can not be considered a violation by credit institutions of a ban to eliminate legal uncertainty. To such transactions it is offered: transactions on sale of the property by banks with a view of maintenance of the activity; transactions on the purchase and sale of precious metals and coins of precious and non-precious metals, as well as banknotes, including souvenir packaging, and some others.

Deputies of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance, discussed the legislative initiative of the colleague, recommended that it is adopted in the first reading. The deputy corps supported the proposal.
