New vaccinations may be added to the Pridnestrovian vaccination calendar

State targeted programs for immunization of the population are adopted every 5 years. Operating since 2016, it ends at the end of 2020. The Ministry of Health presented a program for the next period. It is proposed to allocate more than 40 million rubles for the implementation of all measures for the early diagnosis of infections, immunoprophylaxis, preventive and anti-epidemic measures from 2021 to 2025. In recent years, 90-95% of children in Pridnestrovie have been vaccinated. The activities included in the new target program will allow immunization of 95-98% of children. According to the Health Minister Christina Albul, the immunization program has been supplemented with new vaccines - against rotavirus and pneumococcal infections, against cervical cancer caused by the human papillomavirus.

Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Health emphasized that there are many opinions and articles on the need for certain vaccines. Therefore, the deputies of the Committee will carefully study the issue, consult with doctors and specialists in order to finalize the state target program for immunization of the population of Pridnestrovie for the next 5 years by the second reading.
