The single voting day is over in Pridnestrovie

As of 18:00, the turnout on a single voting day was 25.82% of voters (106 thousand 85 Pridnestrovians), according to the Central Election Commission of the PMR. The highest turnout is shown by the voters of the Khrustovskoy district of the Kamenka district - 51.36%. After the northern part of the republic, the leaders in terms of voter turnout are the Grigoriopol and Dubossary districts.

By six o'clock in the evening, the turnout by region is:

in Bendery - 15137 voters (19.3%);

in the Grigoriopol district - 9964 voters (31.05%);

in Dubossary district - 8906 voters (30.45%);

in the Kamenka district - 7747 voters (38.52%);

in Rybnitsa district - 17094 voters (29.14%);

in Slobodzeya district - 19823 voters (26.44%);

in Tiraspol - 27414 voters (23.36%).

According to the changes in legislation, since 2018, the turnout threshold in the elections of the PMR President, to the Supreme and local Councils has been canceled in the republic. Previously, for the elections to be recognized as valid, the turnout had to be 25%. Corresponding amendments were made within the framework of harmonization with Russian legislation. Elections are recognized as valid at any turnout in Russia.

Today, Pridnestrovians gave their votes at 256 polling stations. There are also those who voted for the first time. For newcomers to voters, the CEC prepared badges with the words “My first elections”.

Th polling stations were closed at 20:00. Members of the election commissions started counting votes.
