Responsibility for using the phone while driving will be introduced in Pridnestrovie

Additions to the Code of Administrative Offenses are proposed by a group of deputies that are members of the Legislation Committee. The law-in-draft proposes, by analogy with Russian legislation, to establish administrative responsibility for the use of a phone by a driver while driving, which is not equipped with a device that allows you talking without using hands. According to the authors of the initiative, it did not arise from scratch. The Legislative Committee receives appeals from Pridnestrovians who suffered in road accidents. They note that the cause of the accidents was the use of telephones that distract drivers from driving.

The initiative was adopted today in the first reading. It clearly states that traffic militia officers cannot use video fixation tools and other electronic devices for this offense fixation.

Fine of 5 calculated minimum wage levels (92 rubles) will be charged for using a phone while driving for the first time, for repeated offense - the fine will increase to 30 minimum wage (552 rubles).
