The Supreme Council of Pridnestrovie in the course of the plenary meeting today adopted the law-in-raft in the second final reading that unifies and introduces a single standard for food benefits in educational institutions. Deputies had questions about the organization of hot meals in professional educational institutions of different levels and in universities during the discussion in the first reading mode. Not all colleges and universities have the possibility of organizing hot meals (lunches). Deputies of the Committee for Social Protection and Health, together with representatives of the Ministry of Social Protection, finalized the law-in-draft and made amendments by the second reading.
Thus, children from privileged categories (children with disabilities, from large families, children whose parents are invalids of I and II groups, defenders of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, those who died in Afghanistan, suffered in the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, etc.) will be able to receive benefits for meals in kindergartens (during the fiscal year), in schools, vocational schools and universities, hot lunch benefits (during the school year). In the event that the organization of hot meals is not possible, then the issuance of a food set or monetary compensation is provided.
Sergei Cheban emphasized that the implementation of the law-in-draft, which will take effect from 2022, will require about three million rubles.
