A new batch of protective equipment will arrive in Pridnestrovie

The topic of providing humanitarian assistance to combat coronavirus infection was discussed within the framework of online meeting of Pridnestrovian and Russian parliamentarians. Protective masks and gloves that arrived in the republic earlier were transferred to social protection institutions. Russian State Duma deputy Artem Turov said that United Russia will send a new batch of protective equipment to Pridnestrovie. This issue is relevant for Pridnestrovie, since at present the epidemiological situation in the republic remains unfavorable. The quarantine measures in PMR have been extended until April 1. The relevant legislative changes, proposed by the President were adopted by the Supreme Council the day before. Mask regime, observance of social distance in public places, fines for violation of quarantine, special order of crossing the border and other restrictive measures will continue.

Deputies of the PMR and the Russian Federation discussed prospects for the supply of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus to our republic. This topic was raised at the first plenary session of the State Duma in the spring session. Special Representative of the State Duma of the Russian Federation for Migration and Citizenship, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Konstantin Zatulin emphasized that mass vaccination began in the Russian Federation on January 18. Therefore, the Health Protection Committee and the CIS Affairs Committee should ask the Government of the Russian Federation, in what time frame and in what volume the vaccine can be supplied to the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

The issue of supplying the Russian vaccine against coronavirus to Pridnestrovie was resolved during the working visit of the PMR President to Moscow. The topic of vaccination was discussed in the course of the meeting with the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak.
