Maslenitsa was celebrated in Pridnestrovie

Broad Maslenitsa was celebrated in Pridnestrovie. Farewell to winter is in all cities and regions. Parliamentarians and deputies of local councils together with the residents of the republic took part in the festivities. The events in Tiraspol and Bendery were visited by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky.

Despite the bad weather, wind and rain with hail, hundreds of Tiraspol residents came to the main square of the capital. The Department of Culture of the Capital State Administration prepared a bright concert program for the citizens. A theatrical performance was organized at the stage in front of the monument to A. V. Suvorov: creative teams in folk costumes invited spring with songs, round dances and jokes.

Photo zones, thematic exhibitions were located around the stage. Citizens were treated with sweet cakes and pancakes with various fillings. Everyone could purchase in the shops various handmade souvenirs or make a mini straw doll by themselves, taking part in a master class. Representatives of the Black Sea Cossack troops offered everyone to experience the strength and agility in the exercises with the Cossack saber.

The main Maslenitsa straw doll did not stand because of the strong wind, so the celebration was without traditional burning. It was possible to say goodbye to winter symbolically in winter in de Volan Square, leaving red-white martsishor on a tree, making a cherished wish.

Large-scale festive events dedicated to the broad Maslenitsa took place in the Bendery Fortress. This Sunday, the Park of Alexander Nevsky was visited by hundreds of Pridnestrovians and guests of the republic, as well as the President and family.

The organizers prepared a rich concert program, sports and sweet treats. The actors of the Pridnestrovian circus pleased the guests with the exciting bright numbers. At the end of the day, everyone could admire the fire show, after which they flashed fire and Maslenitsa straw doll. The winter was told goodbye by loud applause. The holiday ended with colorful fireworks.
