The quarantine restrictions extended until the 15th of May in Pridnestrovie

The law-in-draft of the President that concerns the extension of the period of validity of a number of legislative acts aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus infection in the territory of Pridnestrovie is included to the agenda of the online plenary meeting. The document was received in the mode of legislative necessity. It is connected with the fact that on April 1, the term of the restrictive quarantine measures expires. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky proposed to extend it until May 15, 2021 inclusive.

The official representative of the PMR Ministry of Internal Affairs in the course of the plenary session presented data related to COVID statistics in Pridnestrovie. 4195 people are sick with coronavirus infection in the republic to date. 2076 of these people undergo home treatment. More than 37 thousand Pridnestrovians during the pandemic were infected with the coronavirus, COVID-19 claimed the lives of 799 people. Mortality - more than 2%, said the official representative of the PMR Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The deputies supported the law-in-draft of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky and immediately in two readings adopted the initiative to extend the quarantine restrictions until May 15, 2021.

A number of quarantine restrictions have been resumed since March 22, by the decision of the Operational Headquarters. Schoolchildren have started two-week vacation, and students (except for graduation courses) - at distance since March 15. All public events, holidays and corporate parties are prohibited. Trolleybuses were switched to quarantine mode. Now they run according to the schedule in the morning from 6 to 10, and in the evening from 16 to 20. Cafes and restaurants changed their working hours. They close at ten o'clock in the evening, and only family members can sit at one table in the hall. The distance for seating is not less than a meter. Enterprises have switched to telecommuting whenever possible. A third to half of the team can work remotely from home. As before, all Pridnestrovians must wear masks, treat their hands with disinfectants and maintain social distance.

The state of emergency and restrictive measures due to the spread of coronavirus was introduced on March 17, 2020 the first time in Pridnestrovie. On June 15, the state of emergency was lifted, but quarantine measures continue to operate.
