Employers who employ disabled persons of groups I and II will be incentivized in Pridnestrovie

05.03.2025

The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic supported in the second final reading measures that will stimulate organizations and individual entrepreneurs to hire disabled people of groups I and II. The state will pay the employer a subsidy that will not be subject to tax for each employed disabled person from this category.

The amount of such payment will not exceed 5 minimum wages. This is almost 11 thousand rubles. The amount will be divided into 5 parts and paid within the first year after the disabled person is employed. These subsidies will be paid from the Unified State Social Insurance Fund.

The government version of the law-in-draft assumed that the new mechanism would come into effect this year. According to the Ministry of Social Protection and Labor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, thanks to such a payment, about 30 disabled people of groups I and II could be employed in 2025. Changes were proposed to be made to the law "On the employment of disabled people" and 5 other related laws. However, the authors and deputies took into account the unstable situation in the economy when preparing the legislations for the second reading. The relevant Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare prepared amendments, which proposed postponing the validity of the new rules until January 1, 2026 in connection with this.

The new rules in the law "On the employment of disabled people" and 5 other laws were sent to subsequent publication after the President’s signature.
