03.02.2020

On January 28, as part of the XXVIII International Christmas Educational Readings “The Great Victory: Heritage and Heirs”, a round table discussion on the “Second World War in the Humanitarian Dimension: Past Experience and the Present” was held at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

Ruslan Gareev, Deputy of the parliamentary committee on public associations, sports, information and youth policy, became a participant in the round table. In the framework of the speech, the Deputy spoke about how much attention is paid to preserving the history of the Great Patriotic War in our republic.

Pridnestrovie is preparing for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. A number of events are planned. Traditionally, May 9 will be a military parade in which military equipment will be involved. For several consecutive years, Pridnestrovians have been actively participating in the international public action “Immortal Regiment”. May 9, they again with portraits of their near and dear ones who fought on the fronts of World War II, will pass through the streets of the cities of the republic. Last year, over 15 thousand people took part in the action in Tiraspol.

A large-scale military-historical reconstruction of the battle of the Great Patriotic War is planned. Holding this event on the capital's beach has already become a tradition. Last year, about 70 people participated in the reconstruction: military personnel and participants in the republican movement “Heirs of Victories”.

Deputies of the Supreme Council invited colleagues from the Russian Federation to take part in events to be held in the republic on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, as well as the 30th anniversary of the republic.
