In memory of the founder of Tiraspol Generalissimo Suvorov

Creative competitions of drawings and essays dedicated to the 295th anniversary of the birth of the founder of Tiraspol, Generalissimo Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov, are being held in Pridnestrovie. The author of the project is the deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, member of the Central Council of "The Obnovlenie" republican political party Ilona Tyuryaeva. The organization of the competitions was undertaken by "The Obnovlenie" party together with the "Future of Pridnestrovie" Foundation. Schoolchildren studying in art schools and art studios of Pridnestrovie are participating in the drawing competition "My offspring, please follow my example...". Young artists were offered two nominations to choose from: "Generalissimo Suvorov" and "Suvorov - the founder of Tiraspol". The works will be evaluated in three age categories: 7-10 years; 11-13 years; 14-18 years.

Not only schoolchildren, but also students of secondary and higher vocational educational institutions are taking part in the essay competition on the topic "Invincible Suvorov". The literary competition is also held in three age groups: 11-13 years; 14-18 years; 19-23 years. A professional jury will determine the winners and prize-winners in the competitions. Drawings will be evaluated by art school teachers and members of the Union of Artists of Pridnestrovie, and essays - by journalists and writers of the republic. Drawings and essays are accepted in "The Obnovlenie" party until October 11 inclusive. The winners and prize-winners will be announced in November, the award ceremony will be timed to coincide with the 294th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian commander Alexander Suvorov. The current competitions are part of a large project. The best creative works of Pridnestrovian schoolchildren and students will be included in a special booklet, which will be presented next year for the anniversary of the Generalissimo. "The Obnovlenie" party is implementing a large project for the 295th birthday of the great Russian commander. The ideological inspirer of the events of the project in memory of Alexander Suvorov is the deputy of the Supreme Council Ilona Tyuryaeva. Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov is a great Russian commander who, by decree of Empress Catherine II, founded the Sredinnaya fortress. It was Suvorov who chose the place on the left bank of the Dniester to lay the foundation of the fortress, where the city of Tiraspol later grew up. Generalissimo Suvorov is remembered in Pridnestrovie: the image of the founder of Tiraspol and the commander who never lost a single battle is on our banknotes, stamps and envelopes, in the central square of the capital, which bears the name of Suvorov, there is a monument to the commander on horseback. There are streets in the cities named after the Generalissimo, the KVINT plant released a 40-year-old divin "Suvorov" in 1992 for the 200th anniversary of Tiraspol.
