In memory of those who defended the world from fascism

The mass event "St. George's ribbon" is held annually on the eve of the 9th of May. Yesterday a black and orange symbol of the Great Victory was distributed in all cities of Russia. Dozens of other states, including our republic join in the event. “The Obnovlenie” (Renewal) is the organizers of it in Pridnestrovie. Activists of the movement today in the center of the capital handed St. George ribbons in memory of those who defended the world from fascism. Start of the republican action was given at the Memorial of Glory. There was an improvised meeting attended by deputies of the Supreme Council headed by the Chairman Alexander Shcherba, activists and townspeople.

The speaker of the Pridnestrovian parliament congratulated all Pridnestrovians on the upcoming May 9 holiday.

Together with the youth, representatives of the venerable age took part in the commemorative events. Lydia Maksimovna is the daughter of a participant in the Iasi-Kishinev operation. She says it is very joyful that our young people do not forget about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.

Deputies of the Supreme Council and all participants of the event "St. George's ribbon" laid flowers to the Memorial of Glory.
