20.04.2022

The Supreme Council adopted in the final reading the law-in-draft of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic "On measures of state support for foreign citizens and stateless persons arriving from the territory of Ukraine and temporarily staying on the territory of the PMR". It will enter into force after signing by the PMR President.

The new law stipulates that those who arrived from Ukraine can temporarily find a job in our republic in a simplified manner. The necessary medical examinations will be free of charge. The deputies of the profile committee prepared amendments for the second reading. They suggest that when hiring citizens from Ukraine, employers must inform the Unified State Social Insurance Fund about this. The employee's data must be sent electronically within five working days. It is necessary to inform the social insurance authority in the event of the dismissal of temporary workers.

The state provides those who arrived from Ukraine with the opportunity to live and eat free of charge in temporary accommodation centers. The children of foreign citizens can attend and eat free of charge in schools, kindergartens and correctional institutions and receive one-time school supplies. The law adopted by the deputies prescribes the sources of funding. The funds from municipal budgets for these purposes are allocated within the limits and from the Reserve Fund of the Government within the framework of the republican budget.

The deputies emphasized at the plenary session that the law on state support provides for the rights of those who arrived from Ukraine. As for the duties of such citizens, they are subject to the norms for observing the Pridnestrovian legislation during their stay on the territory of our republic.
