They summed up the work in the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The first persons of the state took part in the work of the Collegium of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the PMR. There was Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement, Defense, Security, Peacekeeping, Protection of Citizens' Rights and Freedoms Grigory Dyachenko among the participants of the meeting.

According to the press service of the president, the meeting followed the traditional ceremony of laying flowers on the monument to employees who died in the line of duty. Then they summed up the operational and official activities of the bodies and departments and outlined the goals and objectives for the current year.

As of the end of 2017, the staff of MIA was 84.3% completed. Fixed insignificant growth of registered crimes in the whole republic (+ 0.3%). The most serious increase in their number is in Rybnitsa district (+ 18.2%) and Kamenka district (+ 12.8%). At the same time, the number of crimes committed in public places decreased by 6.6%. Crime solution efficiency exceeded 83%. To prevent a serious increase in the level of crime was due to a new approach to the functioning of the system of internal affairs. As the Minister of Internal Affairs of the PMR said, in the past year, the priorities in the work of the Pridnestrovian militia were the improvement of professional skills and the improvement of the discipline of personnel. According to Ruslan Mova, earlier this issue was given insufficient attention, which entailed a decrease in the efficiency of the entire structure.

At the same time, a number of grave and especially grave crimes has increased. In 2017, nine murders were registered on the territory of the republic more than in the previous year. All of them are of a domestic character. The President considers that such a negative situation developed not accidentally. Its reason was insufficient preventive work with previously convicted and socially unadapted citizens.

Last year, 603 crimes in the sphere of drug trafficking were identified. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the employees of the internal affairs carry out the bulk of the work in this direction.

A number of road accidents increased from 137 to 183. There were more road accidents, resulting in injuries of varying severity. 83% of the violations occurred due to the fault of drivers of vehicles, the driving culture of which remains quite low. According to Radu Butnaru, head of the State Traffic Inspectorate Department, the main part of the accidents takes place on city roads.

The participants of the meeting noted: the introduction of the ball system will also be able to improve the situation on the Pridnestrovian roads. Specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were instructed to prepare actual proposals for its implementation. In addition, they talked about the need to tighten the responsibility for managing vehicles in a state of intoxication.

The President emphasized the need for further work to upgrade the professional skills of the Interior Ministry personnel. The leaders of the republic thanked the Pridnestrovian militiamen for the work they did in 2017. The Tiraspol Department of Internal Affairs was recognized as the best in the last year.
