The Ministry of Economic Development summed up the results of work in 2022. The collegium was held online, it was attended by Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov, Chairman of the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Rosenberg and heads of other ministries of the republic.
Sergey Obolonik noted in his report that the Ministry of Economic Development is responsible for the implementation of the state economic policy and performs functions in 30 major areas.
The main problem faced by the department in 2022 is the deterioration of the foreign policy and foreign economic situation, which caused the decline in many indicators in the country's economy. This is despite the measures to support enterprises, which were developed by the Ministry of Economic Development together with the Supreme Council. A number of anti-crisis measures taken made it possible not only to support enterprises, but also to maintain the stability of our economy.
A state of emergency in the economy was introduced at the end of 2022 due to the reduction in natural gas supplies. The main thing at the same time was the provision of energy resources to the domestic market and the population. Work was carried out on the planning and distribution of natural gas volumes, which made it possible to maintain an uninterrupted supply of gas and heat to the population. According to the Chairman of the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Rosenberg, it is necessary to save energy resources further, and to pay special attention to this issue when forming the budget for the next year, so that in the future the emerging budgetary savings will be directed to the real sector and receive income.
With regard to state support measures for business entities under concessional lending programs, 30 loan agreements were concluded for almost 9 million euros as part of the loan for the modernization and renewal of fixed assets by subsidizing part of the interest rate.
The ministry will conduct an analysis of the economic efficiency of concessional loans in the near future. According to Alexander Rosenberg, lending should not be carried out to replenish fixed assets. The proposal will be discussed with the President and the Supreme Council.
Separately, the positive impact of the Capital Investment Fund on the construction industry of the republic was noted. In 2022, more than 206 million rubles were allocated as part of the FCF for construction and repairs in Pridnestrovie.
In 2023, according to the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Economic Development needs to pay attention to the development of new approaches in the field of statistics. Requirements for the provision of statistical reporting require updating and adjustment. And also - to actively develop domestic production, which will ensure the food security of Pridnestrovie and save energy resources.
