In the Context of Social Protection

The first of the initiatives introduced in the State Duma concerns supporting children with disabilities. The draft federal law requires the possibility of acquiring funds for the rehabilitation of these children at the expense of the parent capital. Thus, in addition to medical services, which according to the law provided for free, with families who have children with disabilities, will have an additional opportunity to receive free assistance from the state.

The second law-in-draft talks about increasing the size of tax deductions for children with disabilities. This initiative was proposed by a group of deputies headed by Vice-Speaker Sergei Neverov. If a family has some children with disabilities, the tax deduction, according to the authors, should be provided for each child.

Deputies of profile committee of the Duma supported the concept of these documents. Their consideration in the first reading in the State Duma is scheduled for this autumn.
