Types of special technical means of fixing offenses will be prescribed in the Code of Administrative Offenses

The Parliament considered amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The basis was the prosecutor's request for the interpretation of the article of the Code of Administrative Offenses concerning special technical means of video, photo and cinematography. The consideration of protocols on administrative offenses of the rules of the road, recorded by special technical means, caused controversy in judicial practice.

The law-in-draft was developed by a group of deputies of the Committee on Legislation of the Supreme Council and is aimed at resolving the legal uncertainty in this matter.

It is proposed to fix at the legislative level the types of special technical means used for video recording of administrative offenses on the territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

The law-in-draft passed the first reading, work on it will continue in the Committee on Legislation.
