Visiting Veterans

Veterans Alexander A. Kucharski, Vasily Duldier, Nikolay Demidenko, Ivan Tonkonog Mary Spiridonovna Kaznovsky, war invalids Viktor Valyuk and Maria Ivanovna Stepanova hosted speaker of Parliament Mikhail Burla on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory. Widows of front-line soldiers Lidia Ivanovna Chikina, Nina Semenovna Atyusheva, Claudia Lazarevna Bakhtina, Yelizaveta Nikolaevna Sokolova, Ekaterina Alexeevna Matrenitskaya, Claudia Timofeevna Fedorova, Yevgenia Nikolaevna Rossokhina, former prisoners of fascism Grigory Ivanovich Khristophorov and George Sergheevich Platonov, home front workers Mikhail Grirorievich Tamoshenya also received greetings from the people's deputies.

Mikhail Burla talked to each participant of the Great Patriotic war and congratulated them on the forthcoming anniversary of the victorious, answered questions and listened to the wishes and parting words, presented gifts. Veterans shared memories, handed admonishment to the young generation.

Previously, veterans were honored in a festive atmosphere, but a few years ago it was decided to greet them at home. Today, many of them, even surpassing the 90-year mark, are an example of cheerfulness and courage. Among them – there is a veteran, a member of the Arctic Defense Alexander Kucharski, which this year is 96.

Mikhail Burla wished longevity, optimism, love of family and friends, a peaceful sky to representatives of the generation of victors.
