Against the background of the danger of the coronavirus and the crisis accompanying the pandemic, Russia must take full responsibility both in recognized and unrecognized republics with fraternal native populations. Such a statement at the plenary session of the State Duma of the Russian Federation was made by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs Konstantin Zatulin.
Konstantin Zatulin in response emphasized that there are problems associated with the medical care of Russian citizens in Pridnestrovie during the coronavirus pandemic. They are compounded by the fact that Russia does not have a common border with the PMR. The situation is much more complicated than the one that arises on the border with Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the deputy noted.
Konstantin Zatulin assured that in the near future the issue of assistance to Pridnestrovie will be raised at the Operational Headquarters of the Russian Federation on the situation with coronavirus.
