The memory of those killed in May 1992 was honored in Dubossary

The power structures of the Republic of Moldova launched the military action to capture Dubossary and thus dismember Pridnestrovie into parts 29 years ago, in May 1992. 39 people were killed in the Dubossary direction 29 years ago – 24 defenders of the republic and 15 civilians. Many buildings and houses were destroyed. A mass evacuation of the population was carried out. The fiercest bloody battles took place in the area of ​​the dam of the Dubossary hydroelectric power station.

The events in memory of the victims were held at the city Memorial of Military Glory, where the Dubossary residents and guests of the city laid flowers at the burial sites of the defenders of Pridnestrovie, and at the memorial sign installed in the fortified area of ​​the Dubossary hydroelectric station dam in Dubossary.

The events were attended by the heads of the city and district, the deputy of the PMR Supreme Council Boris German, representatives of public organizations, relatives and friends of the victims.
