Russian parliamentarians visited polling stations on Election Day

Pridnestrovie was visited by deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and senators of the Federation Council on Election Day, on the 12th of December. According to the website of the Central Election Commission of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Artem Turov and Vadim Dengin visited the polling stations in Tiraspol and Bendery. The representative of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia Vadim Dengin noted the constructive and well-coordinated work of the chairmen and members of election commissions. The parliamentarian was pleasantly surprised by the special attention that the members of the election commissions paid to the elderly voters. The deputy from the United Russia party Artem Turov represents in the State Duma the interests of the Pridnestrovian Russians and that is why the parliamentarian notes that the presence in Pridnestrovie on such an important day for the republic is especially significant for him. According to the deputy, an atmosphere of calm and joy reigned at the polling stations on the day of voting, the members of the commissions are well prepared, ready to answer any questions from voters and provide all possible assistance if necessary.

The polling stations in Dubossary were visited by the deputies of the upper and lower chambers of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vladimir Sipyagin, Nikolai Novichkov and Sergey Muratov. Russian parliamentarians visited 5 polling stations and noted the activity of voters. This indicates according to the deputies a high level of citizens' confidence in the electoral processes within the republic, their desire to take part in the formation of government bodies.

The deputies also emphasized the special attitude of the organizers of voting to young voters. Those who voted for the first time were presented with small symbolic gifts at polling stations.
