05.12.2021

Decorative gazebos, benches, lanterns and New Year's arches: the Preobrazhensky Square has become a new recreation area in Bendery. There was a New Year's fair, photo zones and installations around the perimeter of the square for those who came to the opening of the square. The walking area of the park was paved with tiles. The suspended ceiling with hundreds of light bulbs resembles a starry sky, and it is as if multi-colored glowing balls are floating in the air. The city authorities consider that the Preobrazhensky square will become a new place of attraction for the townspeople and guests of Bendery. The construction of the park was part of the general reconstruction project for the central part of the city of Bendery. This is practically the Lenin street in total. The initiator was the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky. The work was financed from the Capital Investment Fund. A new square with fountains was opened near the House of Culture of Pavel Tkachenko two months ago. Now the central square of Bendery has been transformed. The whole Lenin street looks completely new today.

Everyone who came to the opening of the Preobrazhensky Square on December 4 took part in a big show. A New Year's column entered the main square of Bendery. Santa Claus with the Snow Maiden was at the head of the procession. The lights of the main Bendery tree were lit with the help of fabulous wizards, as well as with the support of the residents of Bendery and guests of the city. A large entertainment program on this day ended with a disco and festive fireworks.
