Powerlifting tournament "The Cup of the Dniester" was held in Bendery

The 19th international tournament "The Cup of the Dniester" took place in powerlifting and bench press December 9-10 in Bender, in the building of the cultural and recreational center "Shelkovik". The program included extreme wrestling competitions. The tournament gathered more than 150 participants. Athletes from Russia, Moldova, Ukraine and Pridnestrovie, which was represented by members of the sports clubs of Tiraspol, Bendery, Dnestrovsk, Rybnitsa. "The Obnovlenie" (Renewal) and a number of deputies - members of the party assisted in the tournament, supported talented athletes.

Young athletes of the city of Bendery, who took part with the financial support of the deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR, Alexander Korshunov, deputy chairman of the City Council Mikhail Shaidurov and the head of "The Olympus" sports club Valery Gevorkov, won prizes. These are Nikolai Zhardetsky, Vasily Andronik, Alexander Terzi, Inna Koval, Vladislav Kulla, Tatiana Muntean.
