Historical festival was held in Bendery

Historical festival dedicated to the Day of Commemoration of Alexander Nevsky took place in Bendery. Thematic events were organized on the territory of the park, which bears the name of the famous Russian commander. The clergy performed a rite of church chants at the sculpture of Alexander Nevsky. Flowers to the monument were laid by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with his wife, the Vice-Speaker of the Pridnestrovian Parliament Galina Antyufeyeva and other representatives of state authorities. Then a prayer service was held in the church, erected in honor of Alexander Nevsky. It was held not under the dome of the church, but in order to comply with quarantine norms in the churchyard. The service was conducted by the Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Sawa.

The PMR President addressed all those present after the service. Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke about the merits of Alexander Nevsky and his role in the history of the Russian world.

Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Galina Antyufeyeva noted that Alexander Nevsky is a vivid example of love for Orthodoxy and for the Russian land.

Galina Antyufeyeva added that it is important to know your history, preserve it, talk about it. She wished all Pridnestrovians that respect, humility and joy reign in every home.

Another thematic location is the exhibition hall of the Bendery Fortress. An exposition entitled "Weapons of the World" was opened there. One could see exhibits of weapons of the XIX-XX centuries, some of them tell about the times of Napoleonic, world, civil wars. In addition, the exhibition featured firearms and edged weapons. The exposition was organized by the Historical Military Memorial Complex "Bendery Fortress" Foundation, the Tiraspol Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the PMR and the Bendery Museum of Local History.

The publishing house "Mark of Pridnestrovie" presented a new postal envelope in the exhibition hall. It depicts a painting by Vladimir Serov "Entry of Alexander Nevsky to Pskov after the Battle on the Ice" and a stamp drawing, this is an image of the head of the warrior, on the stamp - the Bendery Park of Nevsky. The right of special cancellation was granted to the head of state Vadim Krasnoselsky.

A cozy atmosphere reigned in the Alexander Nevsky Park last Sunday. They prepared real army porridge and strong tea for all guests of the holiday. Girls in old dresses and boys in military uniforms presented red, yellow and white roses to residents and guests of the city.

At the end of the holiday, the guests saw the performance of the company of the venerable guard and listened to the concert of the Pridnestrovian State Choir and the orchestra of the General Staff of the Ministry of Defense of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
