A modern sports ground near school No. 11 in Bendery was opened

A new sports ground, equipped to modern standards, was inaugurated today in Bendery near school No. 11. Deputy of the Supreme Council Anton Onufrienko, representing electoral district No. 4 “Leninsky”, which includes the school, was present at the opening. The construction and improvement of the sports complex was financed from the Capital Investment Fund (republican budget) and from the municipal budget under the city development program. The work lasted 2 years, and a total of 5 million rubles were allocated for the sports ground.

The red ribbon was cut at the grand opening in a festive atmosphere, symbolizing the start of the new sports complex. It has volleyball and basketball courts, a mini-football field, a workout area, jogging tracks, table tennis tables and a sand jumping pit; the area is paved with tiles. There are additional infrastructure: lighting and drinking fountains. There are stands for spectators, from where it is convenient to watch sports competitions. The presence of such a modern sports complex next to the school will significantly expand the opportunities for the educational process. Students will be able to improve their physical fitness not only during lessons, but also after classes and on weekends. Residents of the Leninsky microdistrict will be able to come here, regardless of age. Preschool children from a neighboring kindergarten came to the holiday today.

Deputy for constituency No. 4 Anton Onufrienko noted that modern conditions at the sports complex will contribute to the physical development of Bendery youth and improve the health of all residents of the district.

Residents of Leninsky and students of school No. 11 happily greeted the opening of the new sports facility and immediately took part in organized competitions and tournaments.

Over the past 7 years, more than 10 sports complexes and grounds have been built in different areas of the city, the same number of football fields have been opened, the stadium and swimming pool have been restored, the rowing base, and the Severny Sports and Fitness Center have been renovated in the city of Bendery. It is planned in the near future to complete the work and open several more sports grounds in different areas of the city of Bendery.
