The further fate of the children's health camp "Lira" will be decided by the residents of Bendery. This initiative was made by the Supreme Council Deputy Oleg Petrik. This idea appeared as a response to numerous requests from voters in his district. The camp, which was built in Soviet times, was empty many years, the territory was overgrown with weeds, and buildings, many of which are of historical value were gradually destroyed. The fact is that a private company from Moldova issued the documents for the ownership of the camp with the collapse of the Soviet Union. Legally, all this time the object belonged to it. Only last year, after lengthy legal proceedings, the camp officially became the municipal property of Bendery.
The city commission was created at the request of Oleg Petrik, a deputy of the Supreme Council for District No. 3 "Borisovsky". The commission conducted a survey of the camp and the facilities located there. It included deputies of the city council, representatives of the state administration, sanitary and epidemiological stations and other Bendery specialists. The infrastructure of the camp as a whole is in a satisfactory condition, almost all facilities can be restored for their further operation.
The Deputy insisted that the Bendery City Council announce a citywide competition to determine the future of the camp. On the website of the Bender City Council there is already an announcement about the competition. Projects will be accepted from October 8 to November 8, 2020. The Commission will assess them for their relevance and relevance, social significance and financial costs, taking into account the budget deficit.
Parliamentarian Oleg Petrik spoke about another his initiatives. On October 8 in Bendery, on the City Day, the doors of the Lyra camp will be open to visitors. So that everyone can walk around the camp and be inspired by ideas for its transformation and then reflect all this in competition works. The results of the competition will be announced on November 16, 2020.
