Limits for the provision of public MRI services increased

02.11.2022

The state will finance an additional 167 magnetic resonance imaging services until the end of the year. The deputies redistributed the funds of the republican budget necessary for these purposes from the remaining limits of other areas of the healthcare sector. The additional amount is 550 thousand rubles. Changes to the 2022 budget were initiated by Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov. The law-in-draft was supported today by the deputy corps in two readings at once.

Magnetic resonance imaging is a method of diagnosing tissues and internal organs of a patient without X-ray exposure. MRI services are widely used in various areas of medicine: traumatology, neurology, endocrinology, gynecology, and to determine oncological diseases.

It was noted earlier in the course of the meeting of the relevant committee that operations on endoprosthetics have begun to be carried out in our republic. MRI should also be carried out in this case.
