Extended period of payment of pension by proxy

The term for paying pensions by proxy has been extended to 1 year. The law "On State Pension Provision of Citizens in the PMR" provided for 3 months previously. Changes to the law were initiated by a group of deputies of the Supreme Council on the basis of people's appeals. The law-in-draft was adopted by parliamentarians in the second final reading at the plenary session today, taking into account the Government's amendment.

The law will stipulate that a pension by proxy is paid within a year, and the pensioner must personally come to the social insurance authority once a year and confirm the fact of registration at the place of receipt of the pension by providing a passport or a notarized certificate of the fact of being alive or a pensioner can personally receive a pension once a year, then the power of attorney document will also be valid. The pensioner can issue a new power of attorney for the person who will receive his pension when the power of attorney expires.

Such rules apply to all pensioners, including those undergoing inpatient treatment or those who are not in the republic, as well as students receiving a survivor's pension and studying outside of Pridnestrovie.

Amendments to the law "On State Pension Provision of Citizens in the PMR" will come into force after signing by the PMR President.
