Ilona Tyuryaeva, "Archives allow looking at many new things in a new way"

Scientific and practical conference "Archives of Pridnestrovie: A Man in the History of the 20th Century" was held within the walls of the State Service for Management of Documentation and Archives. A member of the Committee on Education, Science and Culture Ilona Tyuryaeva made a report. The event was timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the formation of the State Archive Service of Russia. Its goal is to draw attention of the public to the importance of maintaining the archive business, its significance for the preservation of historical facts.

Ilona Tyuryaeva, deputy of the Supreme Council, spoke about the history of the formation of the archive business in the Soviet years, at the present stage, about the basic laws, the adoption of which contributed to the improvement and strengthening of the archive business in the republic. Since 2009, the law "On archive business in the PMR" is in effect, which is aimed at regulating legal relations in the sphere of organizing the storage, acquisition, registration and use of documents of the Archive Fund. Also, the republic implements the state target program aimed at developing the archive business.

The Deputy has a great deal of experience in research. Ilona Tyuryaeva10 years collected grave relics, archive letters documents and awards. All the collected material was systematized, two author's books were published, "I Love You Life!" and "Irrevocable Worlds". The electronic versions due to cooperation with the Civil Service are published on the Internet.

The parliamentarian expressed her confidence that carrying out such scientific and practical activities would help to unite efforts to study archival documents, to raise awareness and to identify promising forms of preserving various historical facts.
