Successes and problems of the Pridnestrovian culture

25.05.2018

Musicians, artists, actors, museum workers, art school teachers, librarians are behind one big table. Today, on the eve of a professional holiday of cultural workers, they met with the President Vadim Krasnoselsky. The Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba and his deputy Galina Antyufeeva took part in the conversation about the current state of affairs in the Pridnestrovian sphere of culture and art.

At present, 310 cultural and art institutions operate in the republic, 6 of them - state institutions. They honor Pridnestrovie with honor at many international venues.

This day, on the eve of the professional holiday, the highest state awards were given to the best. Among them - Tatiana Tverdokhleb, Grigory Moseyko. Participants of the "DoRedos" group were awarded honorary titles "Honored Worker of Culture of Pridnestrovie".

Creative workers were able to ask the president questions of interest to them. They dealt with many of the problems that the industry faces. This is a shortage of young professionals in rural homes, an urgent need to replace musical instruments. The artists of the republic need their premises, where their creative workshops could be located. They talked about the material and technical state of cultural objects - a problem common to all - and asked to include them in the state program of capital investments. The president said that the program is planned to continue in the future, with the inclusion of cultural and sports facilities.

The problems of the "quiet" sphere were voiced by museum workers. Today in the republic there are 41 museums, 5 of them require repair, 2 are in emergency condition. Library workers complained about the acute shortage of literature for children and adolescents. They talked about the need to update the library funds of Pridnestrovie.

There was a storm of applause after the news that structural changes in the sphere of culture are not expected. The State Service for Culture and Historical Heritage will continue to function in the same status and will not be included in the Ministry of Education.
