Improve the institution of citizenship

Deputies received appeals from citizens facing difficulties in obtaining citizenship PMR. As the chairman of parliamentary committee Galina Antyufeeva noted at today's plenary session acting since 2002 Constitutional Law contains a complete legal framework insufficient in matters of nationality. Authors of the law-in-draft, vice-speaker Galina Antyufeeva  and deputy Vadim Krasnoselsky, proposed a new draft of the constitutional law "On Citizenship of PMR", which presents a conceptual apparatus, systematized all the processes related to the acquisition of citizenship. One of the proposals of lawmakers for the Russian peacekeepers serving in the territory of our republic.

A package of legislations during the plenary session was also discussed on the migration issue. It includes four legislative proposals: "On the order of entry in PMR and out of the PMR", "On Legal Status of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons in PMR", "On Migration Registration of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons in PMR", "On the Right PMR citizens to freedom of movement and choice of place of residence within PMR ". Legislations, whose main objective was the improvement of the migration legislation previously adopted in the first reading. A working group was created to work on a package of documents, a group, consisting Foreign Ministry experts, the KGB, the OCC in addition to deputies. Within two months, active work was carried out on discussion of each amendment. At today's plenary session, it was decided to adopt the legislations and stay in the second reading mode. The work on the draft law regulating the sphere of migration will continue.
