The history lesson at the walls of the old permanent fortification

22.06.2023

A history lesson for young people was held on the eve of the mournful date, the day the Great Patriotic War began, on the outskirts of the village of Krasnogorka, Grigoriopol region, near the permanent fortification destroyed during the war. It was organized by the Obnovlenie (Renewal) Party. Residents of the villages of Krasnogorka and Bychok, schoolchildren, students, deputies of the Youth Parliament gathered at the walls of the destroyed permanent fortification No. 713, which is part of the Tiraspol fortified area. They laid flowers at the memorial plaque, lit candles in memory of those who died during the war and honored their memory with a moment of silence.

How the “Stalin Line” and the Tiraspol fortified area were arranged, how the bunker was arranged and how many firing points the covered lodgment had. These and other facts of the history of the Great Patriotic War were told by the military historian Alexei Rusanov. Lecture and conversation in the open air by the light of a fire lasted until late at night. Teenagers from rural schools received a patriotic lesson in the history of their native land.

The participants went to the Memorial of Glory in Tiraspol to join the already traditional action "The Candle of Memory" in the morning. It started at 4 o'clock in the morning – this is the time when Nazi Germany attacked the Soviet Union and the Great Patriotic War began.
