The unanimous support of the deputies received a number of legislative initiatives of a social orientation. The Supreme Council voted for introduction of legislation on January 1, 2020, according to which people with disabilities in the first, second and third groups of vision, children with disabilities under the age of 18, children with disabilities in sight of the three groups will be given free glasses for vision correction.
State support will also affect the four long-livers living in the republic (100 years and older). Now they are exempted from payment for the use of thermal energy, water, sewage, gas, electricity, for maintenance and repair of the elevator, other utilities, and living in houses without central heating - from paying for fuel. Now they will be added and the service for the removal of solid waste.
Along with this, during the discussion of this issue, there were suggestions from deputies about the need for a legislative reduction of the age limit at which a person acquires the status of "long-liver".
It was agreed that corresponding legislative initiative will be prepared with a financial and economic justification in the future.
Among the adopted by the Supreme Council during the plenary session there is law relating to the remuneration of public sector employees. With its adoption, payments for the qualification category to teachers of two social welfare organizations subordinated to the Ministry of Social Protection and Labor were restored. This is about pedagogical workers of the Republican Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children and the Republican Specialized Children's Home. After a number of legislative changes, these organizations “dropped out” from the list of organizations whose employees are entitled to receive a premium for the qualification category. The legal norm adopted by the elected representatives filled the existing legislative gap.
