The bonds of friendship

Our republic has long-standing and close relations with South Ossetia and Abkhazia. We had a common grief, there are common problems, and without mutual support, we can not do. That is why two legislations for consideration by the Supreme Council. The first concerns the ratification of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Pridnestrovie and South Ossetia, the second - the ratification of the agreement between the Governments of PMR and Abkhazia on mutual visa-free trips of citizens of both states.

For the first time the treaty of friendship Pridnestrovie and South Ossetia was signed in 1994, its new edition was signed by Heads of State in the past. Now we need the ratification of this international instrument by the legislature. While not opposed to this, members of the parliamentary committee on foreign policy and international relations during the last meeting, recommended that the agency responsible for the implementation of foreign policy and prepare and sign a similar document with the Republic of Abkhazia. According to deputies the relations between these two fraternal states is necessary to practice the general principles and approaches. This is despite the fact that for more than 20 years changed the geopolitical situation, of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, in contrast to Pridnestrovie, recognized by the Russian Federation.

The Agreement on visa-free trips of citizens of Pridnestrovie and Abkhazia concluded by the governments of the two States Oct. 25, 2016, will contribute to the development of friendly relations and strengthen economic, trade, scientific-technical, cultural and other ties. In accordance with the national legislation of the Republic of Abkhazia of the visa regime for foreign citizens. By the way, last year, mostly in the summer, it was visited by more than a hundred Pridnestrovians. After the ratification of the document by the Supreme Council they will be able to without a visa.
