Blossom, our city, over the Dniester

A solemn meeting was held in in the State Drama and Comedy Theater named after N.S. Aronetskaya on the eve of the 225th anniversary of the formation of Tiraspol. The audience of the holiday program called "Blossom, our city, over the Dniester" was the President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba, parliamentarians, members of the Government, as well as citizens - those who make their capital more beautiful by their daily work. Residents and numerous guests who came to the anniversary celebrations from different cities of Russia, Ukraine and Moldova congratulated Tiraspol.

Addressing the participants of the solemn meeting, the President said that the first inhabitants of Tiraspol, founded by the decree of the Empress Catherine the Great, were "Suvorov bogatyrs" - grenadiers and musketeers of infantry companies.

A member of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Yuri Mishcheryakov congratulated Tiraspol on the city's day. The Russian guest, who visited the Pridnestrovian capital for the first time, shared his impressions of what he saw.

The general director of the International Assembly of capitals and large cities Vladimir Selivanov proposed to create a platform on the basis of Pridnestrovian capital to discuss the most pressing issues related to the development of cities belonging to the organization.

The solemn meeting ended with bright creative numbers of Pridnestrovian artists.
