For almost three decades, the Pridnestrovian people have been building and defending their statehood, obtained by blood, sweat and tireless work. The starting point is September 2, 1990, when at the Tiraspol Drama Theater, deputies of all levels, who came to Tiraspol from the entire left bank of the Dniester, fully realized the will of the people who elected them and proclaimed the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Since then, many trials and tragedies have fallen to our lot. September 2 is still the main public holiday, every year at the beginning of autumn we summarize peculiar results, remember the past and celebrate.

The day before, the speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov congratulated the Pridnestrovian people.

Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, vice-speaker of the parliament Galina Antyufeyeva, people's deputies of the highest legislative body of the republic took part in celebrations dedicated to the celebration of the 29th anniversary of Pridnestrovian statehood.

By tradition, they began at the capital's Glory Memorial, where the soldiers of the Red Army, who liberated the city in 1944, and the first to be killed in 1992 were buried. The memory of the dead was honored with a minute of silence. The leadership of the republic, deputies of the Supreme and Tiraspol City Council, representatives of the Government, public organizations, labor collectives, townspeople laid flowers on tombstones.

Festive events to the sounds of the anthem continued with the ceremony of raising the state flags of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Russian Federation.

Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that over 29 years of independence, Pridnestrovie has gone through many difficulties and trials, including through the war. In this regard, the President expressed special gratitude to the defenders of Pridnestrovie, to those who were at the origins of the creation of Pridnestrovian statehood.

From the front podium, the President thanked the Russian Federation for the help and support provided by Pridnestrovie, for the implementation of the peacekeeping operation. In conclusion of the festive speech, he congratulated the Pridnestrovians on the Republic Day and wished everyone peace and prosperity, happiness and prosperity, new achievements and victories!

The parade ended with a filigree performance by the elite of the Armed Forces of the Company of Honor guard.

All the cultural and culinary diversity of the cities and regions of our republic was presented at the festive courtyards, which residents and guests of the capital, the leadership of the republic, and deputies of the Supreme Council enjoyed visiting. Nearby are numerous alleys of craftsmen with products of decorative and applied art.
