The CEC of PMR: 25 years of work on the recognition of the republic

The next meeting of the Central Election Commission was smoothly out of service to the ceremonial. The festive occasion was that the CEC celebrated a quarter-century. Guests of honor were invited for the birthday - all the CEC Chairmen, the head of this important state agency over the years, its members have previously worked there, representatives of the parliament, the judiciary, the various departments.

Present and former members of the Central Election Commission were congratulated by the chairman of the parliamentary committee on legislation, law enforcement, protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens Galina Antyufeeva on behalf of the Chairman of the Supreme Council Mikhail Burla, all the deputies.

Galina Antyufeeva noted in her message that the best and most professional lawyers always worked at the CEC. Pyotr Denisenko, the head of the Central Election Commission for many years, told the audience about how it all began. The decision on its establishment regarding the necessity of organization and holding of the first elections and referendums was taken at meetings of the strike committee.

A lot of warm and sincere words were said on that day to the birthday. Almost every one of them wishes to be on guard of the electoral legislation, to follow it, to do everything possible to make the forthcoming elections to representative bodies, as well as all our previous election campaigns and referendums were held at high organizational level, truly transparent and open, the will of each voter was free.
