There was a meeting of schoolchildren with the chairman of the Pridnestrovian association of war veterans in Afghanistan, Deputy of the Supreme Council Igor Buga in the theoretical lyceum No. 2 of the capital. In honor of the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, students of the school prepared the musical-literary composition "The Star named "Mama". This is a story about a woman in whose house came the terrible news of the loss of sons.
Igor Buga addressed the pupils. He told young people about the history of the Afghan events and his military path. Today they cited data: during the war in Afghanistan, 15,200 Soviet citizens died, about 7,000 became disabled. The memory of the dead today was honored with a minute of silence.
As it turned out, the second school (previously school number 19) is native for the deputy. He graduated from this school in 1981.He came to Afghanistan when he was 23. Being in the rank of lieutenant, he led a detachment of 24 soldiers.
The meeting ended with a general photo. The guys thanked the Afghan warrior for an interesting conversation. Igor Buga, in turn, wished the young people peace and prosperity.
Veterans of the Afghan war conduct active civil-patriotic work with young people, attend educational institutions, share memories of wartime. On the eve of the anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, such meetings will be held in many schools of the republic.
