Deputy Vadim Krasnoselsky as part of harmonization of Pridnestrovian legislation with Russian proposed amendments to the law "On development and state support of small business". They enshrine at the legislative level the concept of small and medium-sized businesses, amongst them medium-sized enterprises.

Small business entity under current law shall be a physical person engaged in business activity as an individual entrepreneur or legal entity ascribed to the micro-enterprises or small businesses. However, the practice of compiling statistical reports, collections shows that if a legal entity in its criteria does not apply to small businesses, it automatically is under the category of big business. It is often the average number of workers may be little more than a small business. This is due to the absence in the legal environment of the Republic of such a category of businessmen, the average business. At present in this regard there is an objective need to regulate at the legislative level, the concept of small and medium-sized businesses, including medium-sized enterprises.

Deputy Vadim Krasnoselsky offers medium-sized enterprises, business entities, which employ 101 to 250 people and the annual amount of income of which does not exceed 30,650,000 MW.

As suggested by the author of the law-in-draft, its implementation will contribute to the creation of an enabling environment for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, provide equal access to public support in respect of medium-sized enterprises, in general, the creation of a favorable business environment.
