The first plenary meeting of the first session of the sixth convocation of the Supreme Council was marked by personnel appointment. The last on the agenda, but not least in importance was the question of the consent of the Supreme Council for the appointment of the head of the supreme executive authority.
The President placed for consideration of deputies the candidacy of Pavel Prokudin. Pavel Prokudin is 49 years, he graduate from the Odessa Higher Marine Engineering College. He began his career in 1988 in the Soviet Danube Shipping Company. He worked in various commercial structures, the director general of "souvenir factory" Luchafer ", director of GUP" Historical military-memorial complex "Bendery Fortress".
As succession the candidate called as priority the education and health care sphere, "which much has been done, but much remains to be done". Pavel Prokudin called the agriculture sector "our reserve designed to ensure food security". A candidate for the premiership also intends to continue the line of state support for business entities (subsidized energy prices, tax breaks), provided their owners to preserve jobs, production capacity, assure the timely payment of wages to employees and contributions to the budget previous volume. According to Pavel Prokudin it is necessary to prevent the reduction of labor resources and the outflow from the republic.
The Government is ready in January to introduce an upgraded anti-crisis program to solve all the accumulated problems. Different opinions - deputies, business leaders and the public will be heard in order to develop these proposals.
Deputies of the Supreme Council Ilya Vasilyev, Alexander Korshunov, Oleg Vasilaty, Oleg Khorzhan, Andrei Safonov, Vadim Kravchuk were interested in attitude of the applicant for the post of the head of the Cabinet of Ministers to the different aspects of social and economic life of the republic. Questions of deputies concerned national currency, the budget process and potential measures to reduce the deficit of the national budget, as provided for in the draft, implementation in complex foreign policy and economic conditions of the social obligations of the state.
Deputies of the Supreme Council voted unanimously for giving consent to the appointment of the Prime Minister Pavel Prokudin. The corresponding decree of the President will be issued. This is the third head of the Cabinet for the last four years.
At the end of the plenary session the parliamentarians received deputies certificates and badges. By tradition, the first plenary session ended with comments to the press, which gave the Speaker, the president and prime minister, as well as a collective photo in front of the Supreme Council and the Government of PMR.
