The Tragic Date

Undeclared war began 25 years ago. It claimed hundreds of lives.

March 2, 1992 was the beginning of armed aggression of Moldova against Pridnestrovie. Residents of Dubossary faced the attack first, standing on the way of militant nationalists. Gathering all strength, Pridnestrovians frustrate the enemy's plan to divide the young republic apart and to break by force the resistance of the multinational people of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

The events 1992 - clear evidence that it is impossible to suppress the will of the people by force of arms. Today there is no one who would have forgotten about the price that Pridnestrovians paid, defended great values ​​- the right to live freely on their land and to speak their native language.

This memorable day, we pay tribute to Russian peacekeepers who made it possible to stop the fratricidal war, in which more than a thousand people died, tens of thousands became refugees.

We are proud and appreciate the patriotism of defenders of Pridnestrovie, which became a measure of keeping independence and dignity of all the people of Pridnestrovie. Their sacrifice is an example of our efforts to strengthen stability and security in the republic today.
