The triumph of life over death, good over evil, was the opening of a new trolleybus line of route 5A in Bendery, the city that survived a terrible tragedy 26 years ago. It is the longest to date - 1860 meters.
The distinguished builders received state awards from the president's hands.
The mayor of the city Roman Ivanchenko remembered how, a year after the end of the Bender tragedy, the first trolleybus with symbolic number 19 moved on the road in Pridnestrovie, linking the two brotherly cities of Bendery and Tiraspol. This event marked the beginning of the electric transport system in Bendery. Today, traditions continue, and the ideals of independence, which in 1992 were defended by the Bendery people, the entire Pridnestrovian people, are preserved and pass to future generations. The best proof of this is the growing city itself.
Irina Zhakoty addressed the builders of the new trolleybus line on behalf of residents of the "Borisovka" microdistrict with words of gratitude.
The honorable right to cut a symbolic red ribbon before the first trolleybus travels along a new route was given to the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky, the head of the state administration Roman Ivanchenko and the pupil of secondary school No. 13, an excellent pupil of studies, Alexander Kazakov.
The Ataman emphasized that the residents of the city looked with special hope at the building of the city executive committee that was being fired from all sides by the nationalists. If the Pridnestrovian flag flies over it, then the city is alive, it did not give up, then the enemy will be defeated.
The ceremony of laying flowers was completed at the memorable sign "City of Military Glory". It is installed in the place of the most fierce battles of city defenders with Moldovan nationalists - at the traffic militia post at the entrance to Bendery.
