The Central Election Commission sounded the preliminary results of the single day of voting. According to the chairman of the CEC Yelena Gorodetskaya, voter turnout exceeded 47%. This figure exceeds the five years ago figure: in the formation of the Supreme Council of the V convocation in 2010 was attended by 43% of voters. The most electoral activity was this time in the capital (64%). The following result belongs to Kamenka District, where the turnout was 60%. All candidates for deputies to the Supreme Council, according to the highest number of votes, are considered elected. The information regarding the renewal of the local Councils will be soon announced by representatives of the Central Executive Committee.

Summing up the results of the single voting day, Elena Gorodetskaya thanked all participants of the electoral process and noted its high level. The head of the Central Election Commission recalled that the preparation is important for a democratic state events take place in a short time, it did not affect the quality of the elections.

There operated 261 polling stations in the single day of voting in Pridnestrovie. The electoral process was monitored by more than 30 observers from CIS and non-CIS countries. In their view, voting took place in full accordance with generally accepted standards. The foreigners in vast majority are unanimous in their assessment: the triumph of democracy is evident. Representatives of Bulgaria and Serbia stated that the elections were held in our republic at much higher from a democratic point of view level, rather than in their homeland.

The Chairman of the Central Election Commission of PMR Elena Gorodetskaya invited observers to take part in these - presidential - elections to be held in a year.
