Gala evening for the City Day

Representatives of the republican and city authorities, heads of public organizations of the city, representatives of labor collectives, Tiraspol residents and guests of the capital gathered at the City Palace of Culture.

According to the Head of the city Oleg Dovgopol, the birthday of the capital is, first of all, a summing up of the past year. The city always strives for the best, the city is transforming. This year, an unprecedented amount was allocated to Tiraspol for road repairs, four parks were laid in the city, a fountain complex project was implemented that adorned the center of the capital.

The city is becoming prettier, becoming attractive, the chairman of the Tiraspol City Council, Albina Ivanova, noted in her speech. Streets and parks are filled with people, and squares - with children's laughter. This is the greatest wealth, she considers.

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky reminded the audience that Tiraspol was founded as a result of the expansion of the Russian Empire. It was necessary to defend its borders, the Middle Fortress appeared, then - the county town of Tiraspol. The city in its development experienced ups and downs along with our entire large Motherland.

State awards were awarded to especially distinguished Tiraspol residents for their diligent work, active social work, and high professionalism. After the award, a concert was organized for all those present with the participation of creative musical groups of Tiraspol.
