Holiday on the ground

Solemn events took place in all Pridnestrovian cities on the Day of the Republic. Concert programs, patriotic actions, as well as memorable meetings were organized for the residents. In Rybnitsa, September 2, the holiday began with the laying of flowers to the obelisk of Glory and the Memorial of Defenders of the Fatherland. The feat of the fallen compatriots was honored by deputies of the Supreme Council Andrei Safonov, Valentin Matveychuk and Vasily Kunitsky.

They spoke on the 28th anniversary of the republic's formation about the courage of the defenders in times of hostilities, about the Pridnestrovians, who with honor passed the test of life, about the love of the Motherland. The ceremony of raising the state flags of the PMR and the Russian Federation was held on the main square of the northern capital, and the awarding and honoring of the citizens of the city and the district was held here. The mass event "I'm proud of you, my country!" was organized for the residents of Rybnitsa and the guests of the republic, within the framework of which the participants received greeting cards, balloons and ribbons symbolizing the PMR flag. Ceremonial events for the residents of the city continued in the Central City Library. Students and pupils of the correctional school for children with developmental features took part in the quiz on the history of their native land.

A wide celebratory program was on the Republic Day in Slobodzeia. The townspeople were congratulated by the deputy of the Supreme Council Pavel Shinkaryuk, thanking them for their creative work, talent, cheerfulness, steadfastness and optimism in the development of the PMR.

On the 28th anniversary of the formation of the republic the residents of Slobodzeia celebrated with a concert, an exhibition-sale of souvenirs, a competitive-game program for children.
