Tirotex celebrated its 50th anniversary

The flagship of the Pridnestrovian light industry  Tirotex celebrated its half-century anniversary. An exhibition of products, a presentation of new products and a ceremonial meeting were organized on the territory of the plant on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the enterprise. The guests of honor, including the leadership of the republic and veterans of the enterprise, were told about how production has evolved over half a century. Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov and members of parliament came to congratulate the management and workforce of the plant.

The first stage of the Tiraspol Cotton Mill was commissioned on December 20, 1973. It was an all-Union construction project. Tiraspol was chosen for the location of the textile giant for a reason: it has convenient logistics and proximity to villages whose residents needed work. The children and the grandchildren of the pioneers worked decades later at the enterprise. You won’t be surprised by the labor dynasties here – new generations come here to work after the elder ones today. The emergence of such a large production gave not only jobs, but an impetus for the development of the entire city.

Textile workers like all industrialists constantly learned new things and introduced them into production. So, they switched to separating the processes of winding and twisting the thread when creating fabric after the first 10 years of work. They were running simultaneously, which greatly slowed down production before this. Machines with rotary spinning increased the speed of these processes by 3 times - up to 10 thousand revolutions per minute.

Today's Tirotex produces about 50 million meters of fabric per year. The collection includes 35 thousand drawings. Various fabrics of Tirotex can glow in the dark, be smooth or slightly rough, smell different aromas, do not require ironing and have a golden or pearlescent tint. The company sews bed linen, textiles for hotel decoration, and medical clothing.

Tirotex is constantly expanding its sales market. The products can be found in 30 countries, including Russia, the USA and Europe Today.

The best employees were awarded with awards, and there was a concert for everyone on the occasion of the holiday today.
