College of Commerce in Tiraspol celebrated its anniversary

The College of Commerce in Tiraspol celebrated its 55th anniversary. The college has graduated 15 thousand specialists during its entire period of operation. Many became managers, entrepreneurs, and masters of their craft. The college was opened in 1969 as a trade and culinary school of the MSSR. Graduates of the institution were needed by trade enterprises and organizations at that time.

More than 500 students study at the college today. These are future pastry chefs, trade workers, and technologists. The college recently introduced a new specialty  documentation support for management and archiving. This industry needs specialists. The institution has been practicing dual education in the profession of a cook for the second year.

Students are first taught skills in the technical school before going on an internship at a production facility. They cook in the working laboratory according to recipe books; there is both foreign and Moldovan cuisine.

Congratulations in honor of the anniversary to the management and staff of the Technical School of Commerce in Tiraspol were sent by the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov. The speaker noted in his welcoming address that a large number of specialists have graduated from the institution, who are now successfully working in their specialized field over the past years.

Distinguished employees of the technical school were presented with state awards. Certificates and letters of gratitude from the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic were presented by Oleg Vasilaty, Deputy of the Supreme Council Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media.

Deputy of the Supreme Council Oleg Vasilaty wished the institution to preserve its existing potential and continue to help students realize themselves, primarily in Pridnestrovie.
