The first plenary meeting of the 17th session of the 26th convocation of the Tiraspol City Council of People's Deputies took place today. The main topic of the agenda was the formation of the city budget for 2024.
The decision "On approval of the local budget of the city of Tiraspol for 2024" was considered in particular. One of the key points of the discussion was the redistribution of funds saved on a number of budget items. The money is planned to be directed to priority areas, such as educational, cultural, physical education and sports facilities.
Due to savings under the updated Capital Construction Program for 2024, 1.9 million rubles were allocated for the improvement of shade canopies in Tiraspol kindergartens No. 6, 10, 43, 41. These funds will allow for the installation of 14 new canopies, which will provide additional comfort and safety for children.
Deputies approved the decision to purchase the third electric bus in 2024 for the municipal unitary enterprise "Tiraspol Trolleybus Administration named after Dobrosotsky". The new transport will be used to improve the quality of passenger transportation in the city on low-profit routes.
As part of the preparation of educational institutions for safe operation, electrical installation commissioning work will be carried out in kindergartens No. 17, No. 43 and No. 52. Additional repairs are planned thanks to the released funds in addition. The entrance to the food block will be repaired in kindergarten No. 17, the bathrooms will be updated in kindergarten No. 46, and the roof will be repaired in schools No. 8 and No. 9. Electrical installation work is also planned in school No. 12, and general construction work in the educational and career guidance center.
The deputies distributed the saved funds that were formed under the program for the improvement of children's, playgrounds and sports grounds and added a number of new facilities. It is planned to complete 24 sites, most of which are already ready for commissioning as part of the city program for 2024.
City Council deputy for constituency No. 16 Elena Soboleva was awarded a state award – the Order of Labor Glory – for many years of work and contribution to the development of the city during the meeting.
