Tiraspol celebrated the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity

The "Family - a magical symbol of life" festival dedicated to the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity was held in the Catherine Park of Tiraspol. The celebration honored couples who had lived together for 35, 45 and 50 years. 

The festival brought together dozens of Tiraspol residents, government officials, and public organizations. Among the honored guests were the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky with his wife Svetlana, deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Gregory Dyachenko, the leadership of the Government and the state administration.

The family in fact goes back to the distant past and to the distant future probably. Family is an ancestry. Everything else is more like a theater of the absurd. The point is that there is no foundation, no history, and therefore no future. This is superficial, time will wash away, forgetting about this misunderstanding. The main thing will remain – our families, based on love and loyalty”, the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky noted in his address.

The ceremonial part was dedicated to the anniversaries. The couples who have carried love through the decades went up on stage to applause and received memorable gifts and certificates.

One of such stories is the family of Vasily and Tatyana Leontyev, who have been together for 50 years. They have two sons, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. When asked about the secret of a long and strong family, the spouses answer that you need to respect, give in to each other and help.

Nearby is another couple, Viktor and Lydia Lauer. They say that it was love at first sight. They are an example of continuing strong family traditions: the parents of both spouses also lived in marriage for more than half a century.

Speaking about the value of family, the deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Gregory Dyachenko noted that it is the source from which all the most important things in life begin.

The festival continued with a concert program with the participation of children's and creative groups. The atmosphere of family warmth accompanied the guests until the evening.
